Every DigWash check answers one question per track and machine: does this file play on this deck as-is — and if not, why. This page publishes the exact playability data the tool uses, grouped into the five profiles every supported model maps to.
§ The matrix
Ceilings are per format: a lossy file also has to sit at or under the bitrate limit, a lossless file at or under the sample-rate and bit-depth limits. "—" means the format is not listed as supported at all.

digwash machines prints it, and every check report cites it.The most capable USB family: FLAC, ALAC and PCM all the way to 96 kHz / 24-bit.
Same formats as the 96 kHz family, but hi-res files above 48 kHz will not load.
FLAC is listed in the manual; ALAC is not. An Apple Lossless m4a needs a copy.
The family most booths still contain. No FLAC, no ALAC — the reason the default preset converts those to AIFF.
MP3 only: the CDJ-1000MK3/800MK2 play MP3 burned to disc, the CDJ-400 also from a FAT32 USB stick. DigWash can't produce MP3 copies yet, so non-MP3 tracks stay unplayable here. Evidence is product-page level, weaker than a manual.
§ Beta call — turn specs into proof
If you play on any of these machines, you can upgrade a row of this matrix from "the manual says so" to "a DJ watched it happen." Send us four things:
Every report is logged against this matrix. Rows confirmed on hardware will be labeled as such, and rows that turn out wrong will be corrected in the tool and on this page — a wrong row here is a bug like any other.
